KW, I Danmark startet Kathe en frisørsalong for hunder i Dragør. For å markedsføre salongen tok hun sine 3 flotte store pudler, farget dem lyseblå med ufarlige ulltabletter, tok på seg lyseblå klær og gikk på travbanen. Det brakte mye avisdekning, og mange kunder. Grossistselskapet KW Dog and Cat Articles A/S ble åpnet i 1972, og snart ble det introdusert en velduftende og effektiv skjønnhetsserie bestående av sjampoer, oljer og kremer til hund og katt. I dag har Käthe Winther gått av med pensjon, men selskapet jobber fortsatt i den innovative ånden.
